Not having any other news, I will go ahead and make a shocking confession: I like football.
I don’t watch all the football I could watch — and face it, it’s on TV practically every day; tonight the Champions League semi-final between Liverpool and Chelsea — but I do like football.
If horseback riding hadn’t been the popular sport amongst my peers when I was young (and easily persuaded to do anything that was popular amongst my peers), I would probably have played football instead. Somehow I think that perhaps that would have helped me dodge the antisocial bullet later in life, because I think that being forced to be a team player on the pitch can actually make you become a team player in general. Ah well. I’ll just have to try football in the next life and see how it turns out.
Anyway, you have no idea just how much I’m looking forward to this year’s European Championship. So much so that I’ve already made an alternate version of this layout which will go live on the 7th of June.
“Our” first match will be against Italy on the 9th and honestly I’m not terribly confident that we’ll win, but I’ll try my very best not to let it show because someone might shoot me.
