Cars
Who ever thought that selling a car that’s only three years old and finding a slightly newer (and better) one for about 3000 euros more would be so difficult? We’re selling Rob’s car, the Suzuki, because there’s always something wrong with it. We went to the Suzuki garage and they agreed that we’ve had a lot of trouble with this car so they’d offer us a good deal.
They sent us to another Suzuki garage a bit further away because they had a Peugeot 1007 1.4 HDI that they were sure we’d like. The car was pretty cool, with electronic doors opening along the sides, but a bit too small in the back, and they wanted us to pay 7000 euros for it. Good deal, my ass.
We found another Peugeot that we really liked. Or rather, I found another Peugeot that I really liked; Rob preferred the Mini Cooper that they had as well. My choice was a Peugeot 206 XS 2.0 HDI. We went to look at it last Friday and I got Rob all excited about it as well. And then we couldn’t agree on the price again.
We’re now looking at buying an Opel Astra G Van, which is ugly and basically a two-seater, but it’s cheap and Rob will be driving it most of the time, so my opinion doesn’t count. And besides, this is all quite frustrating so I’d rather have a new car tomorrow, no matter what it is.
Meanwhile Rob’s car is horrible to drive, it’s incredibly slow and won’t go over 110 km/h anymore, so I’m glad I’ve still got my pretty Audi that’s nearly 20 years old and never fails me.
