Christmas
I really only like Christmas for one reason: Free stuff. Now, I haven’t got anything for Christmas yet and I probably won’t, but Rob got a whole box full of stuff from work yesterday. What’s great about that box is that it’s all stuff that we wouldn’t normally buy ourselves, like assorted chocolates, creamy tomato soup, strange kinds of tea, cute little coffee cups with pies on them, et c. And last but not least, he also got this Speed Roller that he uses to get around the house like he’s five years old and the house is so big.
We’ll be away for most of next week, which is a good thing for a number of reasons, including (1) having fun and (2) not having to keep the house warm and thus using less gas. We’ll be at Rob’s mother’s place from Sunday until early Wednesday morning, when we’ll be leaving to drive over 200 km to a holiday park where my parents have rented a bungalow. I’m told there’s a swimming pool, saunas and much more so I’m sure it’ll be a lot of fun. If only we could be there longer than two days.
I like December. Everything looks really nice, with all the lights and the snow and ice. I just can’t stand the cold, so honestly I can’t wait until it’s summer again, even though you can’t snap pictures like this in summer.
