In the most recent of bastard fits, my computer decided to damage my entire C: disk, or at least that’s what Windows told me. I lost all my settings, desktop moderations, about a hundred bookmarks, everything. Not to mention the fact that I rely heavily on Opera’s password wand, so I’ll probably have to request having my password sent to me from about a million websites. At least I still have all my files, because they’re on other disks, but man, this is getting really annoying.
I haven’t rebooted yet since restoring everything to its previous state, but I cherish some feeble hope that this will have been the last of it, that everything will go back to normal now. All this crap started suddenly without warning, maybe it will just go away now. Fingers crossed.
If this does solve everything, I’ll be sure to tell Bart (who should’ve but couldn’t fix it), that the best thing to do when faced with bastardly computers is to wait until everything blows up entirely, it will all just go back to normal then.
I’m glad we’re going to spend the weekend at my parents’ house, because at least I won’t be tempted to throw this computer out of the window. Which is not to say that this weekend will be fun. We’re going to move my sister’s stuff out of her room and into my parents’ house and our house, because she hasn’t found a new room yet. If that doesn’t sound like it’s very clever to you, it probably isn’t.

Oh, you poor thing. I’ve had this happen, too, it’s the worst feeling! :(
