My first cavity
Rob’s first workday after his vacation started with him vomiting violently into the toilet bowl. We went to a small festival in Rob’s hometown the day before and he downed quite a lot of beer. Not a very good idea. Before the festival, we went to pick up these wooden seats that we spotted on an advertising website.

Fortunately Rob was home from his first day back at work in time to come to the dentist with me yesterday. Normally I go twice a year but this time it had been nearly a year and a half, and for the first time ever I was actually scared. It turned out my fear was justified because I have one cavity, my very first cavity. It’s in my top right wisdom tooth and because my bottom wisdom teeth have not come through and probably never will, so my top wisdom teeth have no function, the dentist suggested pulling it. Now, I’ve never had anything done at the dentist besides fluoride treatments, so this was a bit of a shock to me. On top of that, another tooth needs filling because some of the enamel has worn off.
I have to go back three weeks from now to have both teeth taken care of and I’m absolutely terrified. And Rob can’t come with me. I can have the wisdom tooth filled or pulled, it’s my decision, but if I have it filled it might need pulling later on anyway, so I think I’ll just get rid of it now it’s not causing any real trouble. When it’s out, I’ll make it into a pendant.

Eugh, I know that getting teeth pulled can be hard, I wish you luck on that!
